Who we are
Logic Beam is a digital engineering studio based in India, working with clients worldwide. This policy covers https://www.logicbeam.in and the services delivered through it. For anything in this policy, write to connect@logicbeam.in.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry through the contact form, we receive what you type into it:
- Your name and email address, which we need in order to reply.
- Your phone number, company and rough budget, if you choose to give them — all three are optional.
- The message itself.
What we collect automatically
Alongside a form submission we record your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the time you sent it. These are kept for one reason: to spot and stop automated abuse of a public form. They are never used to build a profile of you and are not shared.
If you create an account
Accounts exist so that a review can be attributed to a real person. You can create one with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google.
If you use email and password, we store your name, your email address, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store the password itself and cannot recover it.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password and we request no access to any other Google service.
If you leave a review
We store the rating and text you write, along with the job title or company you optionally attach, and your name and profile picture from your account. Reviews are read by us before anything appears on the site.
A published review is public. Your name, picture and the text you wrote will be visible to anyone visiting the site, so please do not include anything in it you would not want published. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
Cookies and browser storage
This site keeps very little in your browser:
- A session cookie, set only after you sign in, which keeps you signed in. It is marked HttpOnly, so scripts cannot read it. Signing out removes it.
- Your light or dark theme preference, stored in localStorage so the site does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit.
- A flag in sessionStorage recording that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not replay on every page.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics — see below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they arrive, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies and reports to Google an approximate location, your device and browser, and the pages you view. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage.
This tells us about traffic in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with anything you send us through the contact form.
You can opt out for every site you visit with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or an extension. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers to run the site, and your data passes through them:
- MongoDB Atlas — hosts the database where enquiries, accounts and reviews are stored.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the website itself.
- Google — provides sign-in, if you choose it, and Google Analytics.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we have a record of what was discussed and quoted. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Account and review data is kept until you ask us to remove it. Abuse-prevention counters expire automatically within the hour.
Your rights
Write to connect@logicbeam.in and you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, or stop using it. We will action or answer the request within 30 days, and we will not ask you to justify it.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator.
Security
Traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, never stored in readable form. Access to the database is restricted to the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you we will tell you rather than wait to be asked.
Children
This site is intended for people commissioning professional work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use your data will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
